Finally, some headgear to show

It was 27 degrees when I got on stand this morning! I bumped several deer when going to stand, but used my scent drag and grunted occasionally to try and deceive them as much as I could. I knew there is a couple shooters in my area that I have been hearing before sunrise grunting and had under my stand stomping and thrashing some little saplings, but this guy was intrigued with a little non-aggressive rattling this morning. I guess he wanted to know who had showed up in his living room. He isn't the one I saw a couple weeks ago, a nice 6x6 4-5 yr old, but he will settle me down as the buck fever is slowly wearing off. He was roughly 35 yrds downwind and took him 10 minutes to come in about 15 yrds to get me a good broadside shot while looking at my decoy. This is the first year using a decoy, but with a non dominating 8 pointer made of plastic surely got his attention to not give a crap about me. The sun was perfect and placed a nice double lung and into opposite shoulder. Not as difficult as yesterdays tracking job, and a lot better looking, for my area at least. Anyone else using decoys and having good results?

I was trying to update the previous picture I had posted here earlier and photobucket is not letting me copy the link, I will get it up as soon as I figure out what happened. for some reason I cant copy the link for any of my pics

details, 8 pt with kicker on brow tine. will repost
