Here it is i got the picture to go on. This was my cousins first deer he ever shot at and on only his 4th hunt.

Congrats to your friend on a fine first deer. Of course he probably isn' t a pro hunter like monsterbuckland, but that' s okay. I don' t understand a person knocking someone' s first deer, it is just disgusting.

We all learn from our photo blunders, I have many that look the same as the one posted, and try each season to make them of better quality, but it really doesn' t matter because the kid just got his first deer!!:)

As some have said your first deer is a thrill no matter the size. My first with bow was also the first animal I hade ever harvested in any form. She was a yearling doe that I loaded on the 4-wheeler by myself. Keep in mind I am only 4' 11' . She was still good eating.

Congrats on the deer. I shot my first one last year and yes it was small and yes, I too got some slack for it. I didn' t care, I even posted it in the local paper along side an 8 pointer that someone in our camp got.

It will truely be one of the best memories.

Remember the Ole bowhunters adage " Any deer taken with a bow is a trophy" Congrats on your first deer, Seems to be about the average for a Cali deer.

I got my first deer last year with a bow he was a small
spike with nubs and i never regreted it it was great
