Kansas Bow kill Oct 13

Congrats bro. That October lull is such a crock of SHHHHHHH. The bucks are still there I promise that. If people would realize you can't hunt a whitetail the same way you would in Sept or Dec maybe more would connect.
I'm fine with everyone hunting a field edges in Oct. I'll be about 200 yds up that trail in the woods. Deer just change their feeding patterns in Oct. Their still using the same food source IE food plots, corn fields. Their just not coming to them til after dark most of the time. Gotta find that transition spot from their bed to feed. Bucks will still get up from bed as they did in sept. But they meander around usually in the the same spot every night unitl the last mins of light when they head to their feeding grounds. Congrats man nice buck!!

Thanks guy! Yea depending on the pressure I think mid Oct is great. Yea you might see less day light hours but they do move especially when I'm finding scrapes all around the edges. Personally I dont go to far in the timber till the rutt. Trees in Kansas till have alot of follage and if its hott the bugs are out. They are making there scrapes early and late in the evening and during the mid night.
