The following are pictures from 2010 and 2013. Is this the same buck?

Jakester136 09-19-2013 10:58 AM

In my opinion I say, yes, and he is a stud now!

browtine7 09-19-2013 11:47 AM

No clue but if it is he sure blew up

PutnamHonigford 09-19-2013 12:07 PM

I would say yes...

It's hard to say, but I can tell you that buck from Aug 21 is a stud. The G-2 on his right side is amazing! :jaw:

BUCKMARK 09-19-2013 12:43 PM

What a monster...

ManofTheFall 09-19-2013 10:03 PM

Sure looks like the same one to me. I hope you can get him so we can all get a good look at him.

olsaltydog 09-20-2013 05:12 AM

Here is a daytime picture of him. If it is the same buck, first pictures since 2010. Pretty amazing due to the number of cameras on this property.

GatorWrestler 09-20-2013 07:57 AM

Just beautiful... very nice!

Legendary Pursuits 09-20-2013 11:47 AM

By going off the G2 I would say its the same buck. That daytime pic of him is a good comparison. Good luck in your pursuit. Does the buck have a name?

Ridge Runner 09-20-2013 02:17 PM

nope definitely not, the velvet buck has a kicker on the left G2 0r G3, the hardhorn buck doesn't have it, also looks like points from the velvet buck missing on the right antler of the hardhorn buck

Could be same buck, odds are slim thou. if it is would be a 5 year old and deff shooter. If it isn't, the 1st buck passed on his genes and is a son of his.

thunderchickenfrenzy 09-21-2013 07:50 PM

That G2 is absolutely unbelievable!

RyanVT 09-22-2013 07:30 AM

I think they are different deer judging by the kicker like the other guy said and just difference in lengths on some of the tines. Deff related and same genes.

The more I look at the second pic of that buck, the more I realize that's a once in a lifetime buck! Good luck with that one!!!!

X2!! All I can say is WOW!

subielgt3429 09-27-2013 08:06 AM

Amazing looking deer! Can't stop looking at it. Hope you can get a shot at him!

BarnesX.308 09-27-2013 08:36 AM

With similar genetics in a properties deer herd, a buck could have a brother, son, father, cousin, etc... that looks similar enough that you couldn't tell from year to year. Could be another buck with the same bloodline.

medic242 09-27-2013 03:17 PM

I would say yes. Ya'll have to post a pic once he's on the ground then we can see better
