Not a single cam...

I love the Insanity, but also drastically prefer the Destroyers over the Insanity. The new Insanity is better than the first model year though, so maybe they're working out the kinks. The first year insanity drawstroke felt terrible.

Best Single cam? Mathews all the way. Take your pick, I'm a Creed fan, the Heli-M is wicked skinny, but it doesn't do anything special for me. The old Z7 is still hard to beat.

But I will say this, I don't believe that the 'best single cam' bow is anywhere near the 'best bow on the market'. Bowtech's top my list, followed by the Mathews Monsters, especially the Chill, Hoyt Cam & 1/2...

I think you're painting yourself into a corner by knocking all of these great bows off of your list, so it begs the question:

Why are you ONLY looking at single cam bows?

Backing up a step: Do they even still make the Marquis?

I used to shoot compound , but now shoot trad and am looking at getting back with a compound to teach and train with my boys who are getting a compound for Christmas this year. I suppose I was thinking a Single cam has less chance of Cam timing problems and easier to draw. I am after a high end Bow for around $500, I don't mind buying secondhand and remember my 62# Marquis being a sweet shooting/quiet bow, come to think of it so was my 65# PSE X-Force . I've owned a few bows, but My Marquis stands out as being the one I wish I'd kept. .

In short... Nope!!!!. They stopped around 2009.

Just picked up Mathews Creed after shooting the Z7 for seveal years and the Switchback XT prior to that... at the time, i feel each was the best single cam on the market... the Creed is a pleasure to shoot.
