Weather bug gave okies a forcast of : most clear, lows in the 40s highs in the mid 70' s: for our opener, should be great hunting weather [8D] Good luck everyone i know reading all these harvest post from other members and us not even being able to be int he woods hunting yet about makes ya go crazy!

Yall remember last year? I know you boys in southern AR were dying cuz it was 90 degrees here in NW Arkansas. My favorite opening days stand is an extreme uphill climb (the only way to get there without tracking over the deers routes of travel) and I had to strip down to my shorts, walk a 100 yds or so until I started sweating, stop and cool off, repeat until I got to my stand. It took me a full hour to walk maybe 400 yds but it paid off.

This year I am leaving Wed pm and will hunt Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun. Camping should be good, I love the cold nights and mild days......Sweating and hunting do not mix..

Meechigan is lookin great....lows in the 30' s, highs in the low fifties. Summer is over, but nice huntin weather!!

I remember opening week of archery last season you sweated your butt off getting to your stand,. IT was very hot and took about a week or 2 after opener for us to get a cold front to come in and fix the conditions. This year looks to be much nicer conditions though i still prefer colder than mid 70' s for the high. I LIKE COLD WEATHER!

This Saturday for us TN boys...forecast says scattered thunderstorms. I hope they' re off a little! If the rain holds off and we get a little cool weather I' ll be looking pretty!

oh man oh man oh man oh man. i can' t wait. i am off and cant wait to get up in my treestand. i am going tomorrow to put up a back up stand.
