iam fairly new to the sport 2 year iam 17.... i have tuned and fine tuned my bow i was just wonder is paper tuning and all the other stuff really that important beacuse my friends dad been hunting a long time and when i asked him about paper tuning he never dont it and if i get half the deer he has i will be happy. so is tuning really that improtant when hunting or is it alot of hype.. if any body wondering my setup here it is hoyt havotec 70# 29in,quick load whisker biscuit,carbon express with 4 inch vane 1/4 in width cut out on each one to get bracket clearince,wasp 100gr jak-hammers. just wondering did any body else have to cut fleching to get bracket cleariance on the biscuit????

tuning is very important, you might not notice to much at 10-20 yards but at 30+ yards if your bow is not tuned all the way you might have a wobble in the arrow and be throwing arrows all over the place

I have never paper tuned my bow either...........I' ve shot mine 45 or 50 yards at targets and the arrow flys just fine.
