Have you seen these?

.357 Arrow tip... not sure how long they've been around, but just saw the ad for them yesterday.

Crazy if you ask me...

I'm assuming it's not classed as an AOW because the bow/arrow could already be considered a weapon on it's own and is not "concealed."

Definitely not legal here either.

its a no go here in Iowa too.

I don't think it will be a big seller - especially with bowmen who know a bit about archery. Think about the weight of these things. First the bullet tip alone weighs 158 grs. Add to that the cartridge case, powder, primer and the contraption it all goes into. I would estimate you have at least a 500 grain head on the end of your arrow. You're going to need a super stiff arrow just to launch the thing and the trajectory would be hidious.

No go in Ohio. DNR specifically says "no explosive tips." Im going to guess they would consider these under that specification.

Yeah... I'm thinking there is a VERY specific application for these, probably more for shots within 10 yards. I don't even know how you'd site your bow or tune your arrows for these... you would have to get a "practice" tip that weighs as much as the .357 cartridge you're planning on using.

That's the line I went by under our GFP laws... I'm assuming it would be classed as an "explosive tip."
