Need some suggestions
I am starting off as my first year hunting, and have been practicing with a bow tons. What I am wondering is what do you think would be better for a first time hunter, tree stand, blind, still hunting, ect.....

RE: Need some suggestions
I would get a good Climbing Stand, Summit Viper would be my pick. If you feel uncomfortable at heights do a blind. Try it all and figure out which gives you the most enjoyment! Have fun!

RE: Need some suggestions
Try treestand hunting first. It' s the most popular way to hunt deer. Then try my personal favorite. Ground hunting. For me, it opens up so much more possibilities. I don' t like being stuck in a tree without the opportunity to move to a different spot if the deer aren' t where they were last week. Ground hunting is more difficult. You HAVE to play the wind, stay much stiller, know exactly where your deer are going to be coming from (yeah right! still haven' t got that one figured out yet :D), and be a scent control nut. But it' s a serious rush to have even a doe come in to within 30 yards of you on the ground. Good luck and keep us posted.

RE: Need some suggestions
I would try tree stand hunting. There are a lot of safe and easy tree stands out there, and it should be too hard for you to hang one or two stands. Also, I would get a good climbing stick. This way, you do not have to worry about tree steps. Make sure you are as scent free as possible. As you will soon find out, the nose of a deer is it primary weapon against us hunters. Good luck and be safe!
