Colorado Elk hunting 2013
I have been elk hunting in Colorado for several years, shot lots of elk with a bow and arrow.
While hunting I usually carry a Glock22 .40 cal that holds far more than 10 rounds, and this last 2012 season it was with good reason as the bears were up high with us every night, and stumbling into them in the pre-dawn hours...no shots taken but close calls at 15 steps with guessing about a 250lber. Several others to note one close to 300, had the sway back look...
I ended up with a 5x5 in 2012, very happy as turned out.
With all that said, I also am a proud american gun owner who believes in the U.S. constitution.
With all the National debates on measures to ****** gun owners, now a magazine law being shoved in Colorado, plus several other proposed restrictions I am debating on returning there.
We as responsible hunters are going to have to make our presence known, or lay down and deal with the effects of not.
Not to vent here but, I wanted to make sure someone was bringing up a topic that effects us all.

I was actually shocked to hear about all the new laws being pushed in Colorado. I always thought next to my home state of Texas, Colorado was the smartest when it came to guns.
I am really sorry you are having to deal with that....you could always move to Texas
