Gold tips....expedition hunters....like .006 of an inch tolerance. Tuff shaft, killed several critters with this one...cheapppp.

gold tip xt hunters .003 of an inch tolerance. Good all around and cheap enough, mega durability, just like the expedition hunters....only twice as accurate.

gold tip Pro .001 of an inch tolerance. It is what i shoot at spot targets (indoor) and 3d targets, and hunt with always. I am very happy with the velocity pro's.

Can you tell the difference at 10 yards...shooting an 1 inch circle probably not.
Can you tell the difference at 20 yards ...shooting an 1 inch circle yes
Can you tell the difference at 30 yards ...shooting an 2 inch circle yes, less tolerance increases individual arrows to be off more than others, number each arrow and decide on the hitters and the stump shooters.

If I were spending just enough to get through the season with 3d and hunting combined I would seriously be looking at the Gold Tip XT hunters....not sure what draw length, bow weight, or tip weight you plan on shooting for each, but check they're web site...

Thanks for all the input guys. I will have to go back to my bow shop and check out what they have again and make my choice.

There is no simple arrow for every archer

If you shoot an expensive bow, you probably need a more expensive arrow. If you shoot a starter or intermediate bow, you'll probably can use a less expensive arrow.
I don't think the manufacturers are developing new high velocity arrows for the 310 fps and less bow.
