I would and do shoot a single pin, I have mine set at 20yards and by practicing a lot I have no problem compensating for shots out to 30 yards which is my personal limit.

I was using just one pin for the last few years set at 25 yards. This year I tried something a little different. I have a 10, 25 and 40 yard pin. I shoot at 273 fps. These pins are just far enough apart so that they do not get each others way. I like to have that close 10 yard pin right on so there is no guessing on a close deer.

I also use 1 pin out to 30 yards.........where I hunt, that' s about all you need.:D
