Bow season opens in about9 hrs. my wife just called and said she was going to bed,and don' t forget to set the clock when I come in.and don' t wake her.:)

you see,I have to be back here at work at 7:00am and she is going bow hunting!!!!!!!:( this will be the first opening day I have missed in,I can' t remember when.:(

just wait till my belly get better abnd I will be there.maybe tomorrow afternoon;):D.

I got out on opening day of bow season and it didn' t go so well. Had a hunter I don' t know shoot a small 6 point which died under my stand. [:' (]

And for opening day of firearms season I have to work and can' t get off.

Thought I was gonna have to work the first day of our opener in two weeks.....I was scheduled but I swapped with a non bowhunting coworker so I work this up and coming Sat...and I' m off for the remaining Sat' s of the season. :D[:-]

Sitting on the sidelines Stinks for sure[:@] But just remember the season is just starting and you have a long one left. Wish your wift good luck.

To be honest ,I never find the opening day of bow to be very productive. Heavy vegetation hurts,the heat hurts. the deer seem lazy and dont move much. I never shot a deer on the first day of bow in my life.

Opening day doesn' t mean too much to me, for that matter the whole first month of the season doesn' t. I get out there mind you but it never is an all day thing that early, mostly a couple hrs in the morning and then some scouting. Opening day here was the 15th, didn' t make it, then the hurrican came but was able to make it out Sat. What a mess the woods was, trees down everywhere and the creek flooded big time depositing debree everywhere changing the deer patteren. Season is much too long to worry about opening day, now the last 2 weeks of Oct is when I start to get serious.
