Arrow building help
 
Hello, does anyone know where i can get some good hints on building some carbon arrows from bare shafts, after buying premades for years im ready do try building my own.

Hypertech, there is a good write up on making arrows in the Feb. edition of BOW HUNTING WORLD magazine. It is pretty informative. If you are unable to get a copy of this mag, e-mail me--I'll make copy of it and send it to you. Arrow building 101 is the name of article.

Hypertec....it's just like aluminums or woods...

Make sure to clean the shaft with 90% isopropal(spelling anyone?) alcohaol. Clean it until you don't have any black on your rag. If your shooting vanes, be sure to clean the bottom side of them too (where the glue is applied) SOmetimes when they make vanes there is a residu on them...this takes care of that. Then, fletch away! My dad uses Fletch-Tite that is specialy made for carbon arrows. Give it a whirl...it's easy!
