Honestly?..........I don' t think you have much. Probably somewhere in the 45 ft lbs range I' d guess
If I had a clue what that bow' s IBO rated speed was I could take a shot at it , but I can see enough to tell by the 27" /50# to know that you should stick to nothing but good solid and razor sharp Cut-on Contact, or Replacable Blade broadheads of a modest cutting diameter. Your rig will still be quite capable of taking a deer don' t worry about that! Just keep the shots fairly close and those broadheads sharp!:) |

i can crank up the weight a little but, you don' t won' t to get up in the stand a be struggling to pull back.

RE: help with grain of my arrow and ke.
it says on browning papers that it will shoot 292. i do not no how fast my arrow is.

RE: help with grain of my arrow and ke.
where i hunt is all woods i will be shooting only 10 yards and 20 yards two pins cover that. will i get a good pass thru if i make a good shot.
go deep and hunt hard.;) |
RE: help with grain of my arrow and ke.
Ok now we have something to work with.........
If you start at 292fps as What Browning says the IBO speed is I' ll give it a rough guess. 292-(25-30fps) for your draw length at 27" = 265fps. Now your arrow weighs 200grs over what would be an IBO legal arrow of 250grs. What this means is that you are probably losing about 80fps. You are now looking at 265-80= 185fps Minus some for what you have on the string and the fact that its a 50-60# bow probably means another 10-25fps loss. until its all said and done your bow is shooting about 170-175fps is my guess...and if that' s the case and your arrow really weighs 458grs you are looking at about 30 ft lbs of KE If all that is correct this means that you are marginal for hoping to get a pass thru on a whitetail consistently with ANY broadhead. My advice to you is TRY to shoot a little more draw weight IF YOU CAN. It will help if you can do it comfortably. Keep the shots VERY close and perfectly broadside. |

I have a hard time believing that a 2312 with a 100 grain broadhead would weigh 458 grains, especially if you are only a 27" draw. |
