Is this the same buck? NEW STEALTH CAM PICS!!!!

Hey guys,

I checked the Stealth cam on my property today and it was at 17 pictures so I decided to take it down. Season is getting close and I don' t want to mess up that area as it is where I got the pictures of the 12 point. Well, I got the film developed and for the first time, I got mostly doe pictures. I did get a cool picture of a raccoon hanging in a tree and a fox walking in the background. I did get a few small bucks, but, I also got this picture.

This buck looks like the one that I got on camera last week, but, this one appears to be only an 11 point and the other is a 12 point. My dad thinks that they are the same deer as the character is practically identical. I just wanted to see what you guys thought?

Here is the buck from tonight.........

And here is the one from last week..........

looks like the same deer BUT loook at the g4 on the right main beam, looks different in the two ics, may be just the angle or its another buck, left side looks to be missing a tine this week. I dont know, looks to be 2 seperate but related bucks.

Yep........same buck.

I hope for your sake he isn' t totally nocturnal already. I do know that if I was hunting your areas I think would rather go without a buck for this season than take anything less than those 2 big ones you showed us. I' d be living in a tree for the first 2 weeks of November I can tell ya that much.

Good luck Jason I hope you nail one of em' !

Thanks guy,

I just took that picture and scanned it at 4800 dpi and I could see that he is the same buck. He is angled perfectly to hide his other point. Ath 4800 dpi, I could see the tip of it sticking out behind his other point! He just looks different in the picture, due to his different angle!

Matt,

I am hoping that he isn' t noc-turnal. His first picture was at 11:50 P.M. and the second one was at 8:28 P.M., plus, I have seen this buck twice in the day, and both times he was bedded in the same funnel area as these pics were taken! The other two pics I have of him were at 4:02 a.m. and 9:32 a.m. So, one out of the 4, he was in legal shooting light!

When I went and got my camera, I looked around and found the perfect tree for my climber. The trail that leads from this camera goes down the edge of the woods and goes into a clearing, which, the tree I will be in is at the edge of. I think that this is the trail that the buck uses as it is a heavily used rub-line, practically every tree is rubbed. If he follows that trail, he would walk out into the clearing and give me a perfect 18 yards broadside shot straight in front of me. To my left is where that trail branches off and goes behind that tree, if he were to walk there, he would give me a 22 yard shot!

The big 11 point pics were both at night. I probablly won' t hunt that buck as much as this one. That one is on the land behind my best friends house, and he will probablly hunt that buck. He has never shot a big buck, actually, the past two or three years, he has passed up more small to medium size bucks than any one person should, just waiting for a big boy. So, as it is now, I will be focusing on the 12 point in the pics above, and he will be focusing on that big 11 point.

Friday, I will be checking the camera that is located where that huge 11 point is running around. I am REALLY anxious to see what all passed by that camera.

Friday, I will be taking that camera down though. Since these two areas are going to be the main focus areas for our hunting, we don' t want anything to disturb the deers habits. But, on a good note, I will not be leaving the cameras down. I have another area that might just be good and I will be setting both cameras up in that area. The cameras will be in the middle of the woods, located about 225 yards apart. One camera will be on a trail that is a heavy rub-line. I havn' t seen it this year, but, in all the past years that I have been hunting, this trails has been littered with rubs. The other is on a hillside above a thick creek bottom. The hill-side is a bunch of scattered oak trees and is always a good scrape area. So, the pictures won' t stop comming :D

Yeah it' s gotta be the same deer.................but.........geez there are some differences that I can' t tell if they are just angles.
If it IS the same deer then the left G4 is either EXACTLY in line with the G3 or it' s GONE?
But the splits on the back tines match up?Even the body looks the same.

You should have set that camera to take a pic every 10 seconds........we could have made him a Star! Or blind from the flash one of the two!:D

The more I look at it Jason......I' m not really SURE anymore?
