My first Bow kill also
 

Here goes, at 53 I have only been bow hunting 2 years. Did some 35 years ago without any luck, we didn’t even have compounds back then. First day out yesterday at 1700 I went to some Ct State land I had scouted in the snow a few times and had a tree all picked out. A1800 I hear some rustling in the thicket area and get ready out wanders a browsing doe broadside and stands on the 20 yard mark I had scratched on the ground during my early scout a few weeks ago. Arrowed her and she is hanging in the fridge. Darn hot to be hunting and dealing with meat but Oh well!! Guess you guys in Carolinia will be shooting Pegasus soon.

Congrats on your deer! There' s nothing like harvesting a deer with a bow and once you do you' re hooked for life.

Congratulations! This will be my 3rd year of bowhunting and I hope to do that same thing 2 weeks from today when our bow season starts here in Iowa. I can' t wait!

Congratulations. It is quite a thrill isn' t it? The first time I took a deer with a bow I think I vomitted...or was about to...:D

Striper wasn' t that the biggest thrill you ever had hunting, I got my first bowkill last year, what a thrill, mine was a doe and I think I was just as excited about her as I was about a monster 8 point I killed with a gun in 74.
