Default is it too late to make mock scrape in the northeast??

been thinking of how to trip up that smart old 8pnt.. do you think it is too late to start a mock scape in the NE?? rut is moving but warm days and cool nites.. not seeing much rut activity sat last wed,thur and sat,sun and hunted on thurs afternoon,today (dead no activity hope they are not in lock down..) got sat and sunday to hunt. wanted to try a mock scrape on saturday??? any thoughts.. I never tried one before....
