treestands

Me and my wife went and hung a couple stands today. Decided it was a good day since it was pouring cats and dogs out. The first stand was a typical 17 ft ladder stand had it up in less then 5 minutes. The second was one of those buddy stands about 15 ft omg what a headache. It weighs like 70 or 80lbs and thankfully the other hunter who has permission offered to help it was all we could do to walk it up the tree lol. This whole takin the wife huntin is a handful lol. We ended up placing that buddy stand in a big patch of white oaks that is directly east of the main bedding area, not to mention we seen two huge scrapes and three giant rubs. Im not going to hunt it till the first morning of gun season . Have you guys ever dealt with placing up one of those stands? Now I know why my ex brother in law never moves his lol. Sorry bout the boring story.

Have hung several single stands, they are easy. Have a buddy stand at home that I plan to hang Tues. If I don't get help looks like I may be doing it on my own. Might have to get creative to get it up the tree.

Been there! My Wife and I hung my ladder stand last season and it was horrible.

This year when I went to move the same stand to a different spot I took a buddy and it went up in about 5 minutes without a sweat....
