Lots of New Scrapes

I was out checking my trail cam today (actually, lowering it because I realized I had it positioned a bit too high) and discovered that in the past 3-4 days lot of scrapes have suddenly sprung up. I noted at least 7-8 in my area including a couple not more than 10-15 yards from one of my stands.

Anyone else noticing an uptick in buck activity?

My dad has been getting a few daytime pics of bucks from the 13th through the 19th, including one old 8 with his mouth open that looked like he was scent checking. I haven't seen much of anything for sign in the areas I hunt here in northern WI and a majority of the pictures I've had on my camera were at night. However, it looks like a cold snap is set to hit Thursday night into Friday, which has got me thinking the woods will be exploding with activity this weekend. Heading to La Crosse next weekend and hoping the action is in full swing by then.
