Default Missed shot?

I have been bowhunting for about a year, roughly 2 seasons. I got my first shot yesterday at a doe and missed. I was so nervous and pumped up I didnt do all the things I have been practicing and I feel like ****. Good thing is I completely missed her. She came back a minute later, walked slowly down opposite side of ridge and didn't give me a 2nd shot. My question is: Is that spot ruined?

Thanks

No it wont be ruined. I've missed before and went back to the same stand a day later and saw deer. Don't let it get you down. Everyone misses once in a while.

No, that won't be a problem for you. It's not like a gun that let's every deer in the area know that you're there.

na, they will sometimes come right back, my buddy thought he was done when he missed, about 5 minutes from coming down, the same deer came back to investigate, and my buddy sealed the deal.

She probably didn't even realize what was going on. They often come back in to investigate. If she didn't high tail it right away, then she wasn't all that spooked. Deer aren't grouped up very much now. The older bucks should be solitary. Ya never know, a shooter buck could've walked through 2 minutes later.
I was still hunting through the woods yesterday, I looked back to where I had just came from to see a deer crossing the trail 100yds back.

No, not ruined...

Do you play sports???? I bet I caught 1,000 passes in practice for every one I caught in a game...

Bowhunting is the same way, practice so much that you absolutely know you are going to hit what you are aiming at...Forget it's a deer, pick a spot and drill it...It has to become second nature...

Have fun!!!

You should be fine. It's leaving human scent in one area day after day after day that will ruin a spot, not a missed shot.

unless you throw a pair of used drawers and a used work shirt out there and let them get used to it all spring. then it makes for a bunch of "at ease" deer, not givin a care in the world that yer right there, cause they are used to it.( i dress mine to look like nutria cause we dont have any down there.new animal, new smell..he dont move much lol)

My first shot with a bow I hit a branch with my upper limb! she ran off and I almost lost it! But before my temper got the best of me. She was right there...almost in the same spot! I let her walk....
