Deer not movin a whole lot.

Here in Kansas the deer arent moving to well this early season. Only getting roughly a hundred pics every 5 days compared to a near 200 every day. How are the deer moving in your area?

Most are staying in the woods getting fat on acorns which are falling in droves early here in Sothern Indiana, thats what the sign is telling me.Due to this I am hunting around heavy concentrations of this food source took a Doe down Thursday eating them. They are still hitting the corn at night and the beans will be harvested soon. Things will pick up soon this cold weather I believe will bring an early pre rut I hope.

Movement has slowed here as well the past week or so. But it usually does about this time anyway. The good thing is i have found good groups of doe's and have them pretty well pegged. So as long as i stay with the does, the bucks will show sooner or later. The bucks should be starting to keep tabs on the does in the next few weeks.

Last evening my son and I saw 3 does and a buck. We hunt SW Ohio and SE Indiana. The cooler temps here have them moving a little bit more....

Slow weekend for me in Michigan

Slow here in PA. They are hitting the food sources at nightt though. October lull has set in very fast this year. Could have shot three does on Saturday but chose to wait.

It will only get better as we approach November!

Yep, it's pretty slow here in SE Pa as well. I saw a couple of doe Sat evening, but too far out. As mentioned, things should be picking up in 2 or 3 weeks! Can't wait!
