eventful opening day (help)
#1

Had a crazy first evening in the woods. A bear came right underneath my stand and sat down and stared at me for about five minutes before running away. Then a small 6 pointer came out just before dark, gave me a perfect broadside shot at about 10 yards and I missed high. Im sick to my stomach because I dont know how I missed after practicing all summer. Whats the chances of this buck showing up again in the same spot on monday after i missed tonight?

It happens! Just chalk it up to a learning experience. We can think 10Yds is a chipshot when shooting at a target, but once it's a real deer other things can affect us. Buck fever??
Think of it as getting a job done. Focus(on the deers body, not the rack), remain calm, anchor your string, squeeeeeeze the trigger. Then a few fist pumps is a natural reaction!!!
That deer could be standing in front of your stand right now, wondering what the heck was that?(I've seen them do it)
They are curious, so you'll just have to give it a try! Hey you might even see a better deer!
