Field Dressing and Butchering Bear

I may be hunting bear for the first time this year. I've field dressed and butchered deer plenty of times, but never a bear. Can anyone point me to a good guide for doing this? Thanks.

I feild dressed a bear my bro-in-law shot a few yrs ago. Was the first time i ever had my hands on a bear. Wasn't much different than a deer i thought, same basic idea anyways. The only difference with a bear is you got to make sure you really get them cooled down as quick as possible. Most people i know that have gotten one go straight to the store for ice and pack the cavity. The meat will go bad real easy i guess.
The other big difference is draggin one of those things! Nothing to hang on to like a deer. If you don't have a 4 wheeler make sure you have a good rope and some freinds!!!

I have gutted two bears to date. What got me was that the body of the bear is so similar to our own. It was kind of eerie.

Mackesr, I have hear the same thing from a hunting buddy of mine. I'd like to make a bearskin run out of one if I get one. Any tips on doing that?
