40 Yard Pin
#11
Ya - I set a 40 Yard pin, but I do not see me shooting that far... One thing is the 40 yard pin makes the 20 and 30 yard shots seem easy...

i think my farthest shot was 40 yards. My farthest pin is set at 60 and i practice out there it makes the closer shots seem simple....will i ever shoot at a deer at 60 no thats not the reason for that pin. Some people do alot amd good for them where i hunt most of the time any shot you can get is under 20

I say if your comfortable with your shot let it fly.
I practice to 65 yds and can put arrows on target with confidence at that distance however I would never take that shot when hunting. When spot and stalk hunting the biggest thrill in the hunt is getting in as close as possible which has no set distance but is usually in the area of 40 yds. I also hunt from a treestand which really limits the distance due to obstructed shooting lanes but then again it's such a thrill watching that deer come in.
