Question Tree Stand Height

Might have some friends, family etc go out and sit in the treestand with me while I bowhunt.. Looking at some cheaper buddy stands.. Most of them are like 12 feet to the platform !! I have always hunted around 20 feet.. Do yall think 12 to the plat is to low to get deer right by you and not be in there field of view ???

I have always hunted higher but a lot of people have sucess at lower heights. Depends on how much background cover you have IMO.

Seems kind of low but depends on your cover vegetation and scent as got to be more of a concern. The friends that are tagging along do they hunt? Will they be able to sit really still being that low I would put them higher and me lower but it is just a opinion.
Keep us posted I am interested as I have a couple of people that want to tag along as well.
Good luck

Big Game has a 16-17 ft buddy stand that is made really well. Own one myself, and it is very steady, heavy, but really steady. It takes a couple good men to put it up. I bought one of those stand buddy's that strap to the tree and crank it up, works awesome.
