Youth Broadhead opinion??

My son is 12 and has has great success with the gun the past few seasons. He now is very much into archery. He is shooting a Browning bow at 40 pounds and Carbon Express arrows. He will shoot 20 yards max. Any opinions on a Broadhead for him. Had a few ideas but wanted to get some opinions. Thanks

Muzzys would probably be perfect for that set up

I would suggest the standard 100 grain slick tricks. They have a one inch cutting diameter with 4 blades.

Muzzys in my option would also be great for that set up

I was looking at Wasp heads as well...anyone ever shoot them? Muzzy is great as well

A cut on contact BH would be a better choice. I would not use the trocar tip Muzzy with that set up. IMO there isn't enough KE to force the trocar tip thru a deer. Especially if a rib is hit. He would be better suited with a Muzzy Phanthom, Slick Trick Razortrick, or Magnus Stinger. Any of these 3 in the 100 gr version. My personal preference after taking 5 buck with them would be the Magnus Stingers. They fly beautifully and have a lifetime guarantee. You bend or damage it just send it back and they send you a new one. That is a plus. A minus with them is the alum ferrule. It will bend after a lot of shooting into the new layered target butts. My second choice is the Razor trick followed by the Phanthom. The razortrick is one tough BH that flies great. These however tend to be a problem with the target butts for practicing. The square back of the razortrick's blades makes it difficult to pull out and the phanthom's design the main blade sometimes comes off in the target.
