For that money you can get a very comfortable system. I like the full fabric vest style, barely notice i am wearing it.

I used to hate pulling that jumble of straps out of the bag and trying to figure out which end was up. I just bought the Hunter Safety System Ultra lite ( the one without the pockets ). I love it. Very easy to just slip on the shoulder straps, buckle the big belt and then slip into the leg straps.

I bought mine at MidwayUSA, $95

HSS for me. Will not climb a tree without it. Once I'm up the tree and set, I forget it's on.

That's what I use. Real simple to put on, light, and secure.

Default wear it

wear it. i used to wear one most of the time and in 93 i hung a stand for a kid and did not have one on. kicked the stand in and down i came. should have killed me broke back crushed heel and foot. out of work for a long time. limp bad since but hunted every year since with belt. now at 55 i have to replace knee due to foot bad knee worn out. i am trying to hunt this year before i have it done but cant walk very far. i am 6,3 and very strong upper body and always thought i could graab a limb if i fell. i did but no way can u hold yourself. do yourself and your family a favor and wear it. the stand was a loc on limb and the s hooks straightened and the stand fell. i use climbers and ladders now never a hang on i just cant make myself get in one...
