Scent lock boots

I've always read that you should not wear leather boots. Why then do boot manufacturers that incorporate scentlock booties also use suede leather???

RE: Scent lock boots

I don't build boots but I'm assuming that the scent emlinating booties use a charchol based product to filter the scent from your feet. The use of leather or condura would still allow free movement plus allow the foot to "breath" some.

Rubber boots are the best scent control in my opinion but I do understand that they do get too hot in early season and too cold in late.

RE: Scent lock boots

If a $50 pair of rubber boots do a good job in keeping scent out of the woods then why pay $150 or $200 for scent-lok boots that have a leather exterior that gives off a scent. This is the dumbest idea I have seen yet. Not only are they overpriced, but the idea is ridiculous.
