The rut in Wisconsin usually is around late October early November somewhere around there.

I think it varies a little bit depending on weather and what part of the state. Here in the west side of the state I usally plan the peak rut for the second week in November. I think as BOWFANATIC stated, the first couple weeks in November will be the best hunting.

Good Luck

The rut seems to pick up about oct 25 and run for about 2 weeks. But a quick cold snap is what you really need to look for. If there is some warm weather and then the next couple days are going to be cold do whatever you can to get into the stand. It will rock! What equipment? grunt call, antlers, doe bleat (the " Can" ) And keep practicing thoughout the season. Keep it safe.

Good luck this fall.
