What does everyone eat for breakfast?
 

And do you think it has any bearing on your sucess? Ex. A garlic or everything bagel, do you think the deer are alarmed by the smell? Bacon & eggs etc. Also do you make it at home or stop? Myself I usually make a Taylor Ham and egg before getting dressed. Keep it warm in the oven and eat it on the way there. I think stopping at a dinner you would pick up unwanted smells on your clothes and hair.

I usually get up about 30 min before daybreak put on my hunting gear and go get in my stand and eat after i get home several hours later. If i do have breakfast before i go it' s usually just a bowl of corn flakes:D

I usually have eggs,bacon or ham,scrapple(the only time I eat it is at camp),homefries w/onions,toast,coffee and a some orange juice.If I' m hunting around home I' ll make an egg & cheese sandwich.I' ve never had a problem getting deer in shooting range after eating a good breakfast-or any meal.

I used to work in a diner--so I know the smell can linger in your clothes and hair for a long time--so I don' t think I would stop in for breakfast...

Personally I have a bowl of cereal and a can of coke.

I usually eat some doughnuts for breakfast when I' m going hunting. Fast, non-smelly, stomach filler.

I never eat breakfast before a hunt - can' t eat at 3:30 in the mourning[:' (]:)

I will bring some power bars or such with me and eat when I get hungry.

I can, and have many times ,gone the whole day in a stand with nothing to eat, doesn' t really bother me.

I' m like RA .. can' t eat that early in the morning. Even though I usually pack some granola bars in my pack I find I almost never eat them. Same with water, I like to save that for when I sweat dragging the deer out, plus it makes you have to squirt.

I have a bowl of ceral,cup of cofee and 3 cigarettes.
Then into the shower put on my travelling clothes, once I have showered I wont smoke again till I have finished hunting and am out of my hunting clothes.

I usually have a big bowl of oatmeal or cereal and some hot tea before I start my scent free ritual ( of course before that I hit the throne and read a quick hunt story so I don' t have nature call while in the stand)

I usually have a big bowl of cereal and a peanut butter sandwich. Wash it down with a glass of milk. I' ll usually have an apple on the way out to my stand.

Good old fashion oatmeal;), plus I' ll throw a
few granola bars & power bars in my backpack.
I never go much more than a couple hours
without eating.

On all day hunts I' ll also bring along a couple
PB&J sandwiches[:-].

I get up extra early for my cup of coffee and oatmeal breakfeast(stick to your ribs kind). This way I use the thrown before I leave for my hunt or for sure by the time I park the truck[:-]. Then I stick to the H20 to drink and eat granola or cereal bars for snacks. All day hunts I take PBJ' s.

Yep! A big plate of biscuits & gravy will keep my stomach quiet darn near the entire day!:)

I make a shake to drink on the way. I throw some protein powder, instant coffee powder and a little sweetener in the blender with some milk and down it while driving to my hunting spot. It' s quick, easy, tasty and nutritious. ;)

Now days I tend to go light on the early morning eats, maybe a small bowl of flakes or a doughnut. I' ll take a few power bars to munch mid morning and do the PB&J if it' s going to be an all day hunt. I used to eat a regular size breakfast but then had to deal with heartburn from eating so early, needless to say the heart burn usually lead to my uncontrolable distributing unpleasant effervescence around my stand area. Never seemed to see many deer on thoes days:D.

usually just a bowl of cereal and i take some deer jerky to chew on or some granola bars...
i dont do it for scent reasons though because im not a big believer in scent lock......

Hey BOWFANATIC, what are you doing eating biscuits & gravy? I didn' t think you yankees ate biscuits & gravy. ;) Last time I was up North, they thought that was the grossest thing thay had ever heard of. By the time I left there I was almost having withdrawals. :D

:D I' m only a yankee by birth! My grandparents on both sides of the family moved up to northern Wisconsin from Kentucky so I was raised on biscuits & gravy , soup beans & corn bread , and all the best eats that come from the south![:-]
