If you ruined both arrows, keep it as a momentum.

Honestly, bowhunting for more than 20 years, competitve 3D for almost 10 years now, I' ve never robin hood' d my own arrows. I have however Robin Hood' d many other peoples arrows while shooting 3D. I rarely shoot for groups with my ACC' s....don' t like to break one...lol ;)

Congratulations.[8D]

I got my first 6 months after starting archery back in the 80' s. The worst part was, it was high and right out of the X-ring by 4" ...[:o] Talk about embarissing. Made the exact same mistake twice. The worst part was that I was shooting indoors at league night and I only had 6 arrows with me. I had to separate them to continue shooting[X(]

In the old days shooting aluminum arrows with the tapered nock point, it was hard to do. I did it four times and I shot alot. Lots of busted knocks and gouges in the aluminum. When I switched to carbons this year, WOW, four robinhoods in the past three months. Again, I shoot a lot. I saved the first one and pull the rest apart cause my arrows are expensive. I shoot Carbon Express Terminators and like most carbon arrows, it is basically a hollow tube and if you break a knock, the arrow will continue down the inside of the shaft.[:@]

In the old days if you wanted to cheat, you cut the tip off the taper so the next arrow shot had a place to start down the inside of the shaft. Todays carbons are already hollowed, save for the plastic nock. I now shoot my carbons, one arrow at one target.

Congrats and welcome to the club! I put my first on the wall in my office. It is a great conversation piece! Like Rob/pabowyer said... keep it as a memento!

I got my first one last year, and so far i' ve had 3 this year alone. 2 on my own arrows at 30yds and 1 sooting 3D on a friends arrow, Man did he whine and cry about that one. But what made it even funnier is right before I shot I looked at the target and said in a sarcastic voice " Now which knock should I hit?" And I ended up Robin Hooding his arrow. It is a great feeling to be able to do that but it is a pain to get the good carbon arrow out of the busted up carbon i' ve just shot.

The closest I' ve ever come, is Blowing the nock off the A/C/C' s and I' ve done that four times in the last week!
The brighter side is that I still have all my arrows:D

I have mine downstairs in our family room, next to my mounts. My wife thinks I am crazy, but she does not realize the magnitude of a robin hood
