Going Back To Aluminum

I am thinking about going back to aluminum arrows. I never had any trouble with them and as soon as I switched to carbon I lost 3 out of 5 deer. They always say stick with what works. Oh, they are a lot cheaper as well. Anyone else still shooting aluminum arrows?

What's your set-up ? ( Bow / draw weight )
What carbon arrows were you using ?
What do the arrows weigh ?

I have lost a deer with aluminum arrows, but never with carbons.

Losing a deer is always a possibility no matter what you use.

Need more information to say yes it's the arrows.

Don't blame the arrow its shot placement that counts

Besides the $$$$ , I see no reason to shoot Alum over carbon. Carbon hands down better than Alum.

I shoot a 60 pound bow. I don't know the arrow size right off. I know all of the shot placement as I have killed over 50 deer with a bow but I like my aluminum arrows. I will head to my archery shop in the next week or so to talk about it with them.

Using the 20 year system

Aluminum arrows, perhaps they're called alloy today, and four inch plastic vanes. (Have an old supply of vanes)
Once I get a system down, I rarely switch. Besides, as long as the arrow continues to hit a deer, I find little reason to change. With me, the arrow is only in competition with the deer.

Shoot what ever you want to but loosing those deer sure as hell wasn't the fault of the arrow.

I know I don't get as much penetration with the carbon as I do aluminum.

Weight/mass + fps = penetration.

A heavier arrow will not fly as flat.

They is nothing wrong with aluminum arrows.
