scott mongose strap

I have a scott mongos release. The strap is good with no gloves or coat. When I put on gloves and a coat the botom strap ( velcros) only over laps about a 1/4 inch. I have never had a problem because the top strap is longer, but I would feel more comfortable if the bottom strap over lapped more. Do They make a bigger strap, if so where do you order one. I love the release! works great!:D

You would probably have to modify it yourself, just by getting a small length of velcro and extending the starp portions, before securing the final overlaying velcro starp. I wish that mine was a littl larger too (the Mongoose, that is..... :D ) I just picked up a Scott Archery Mongoose last night myself. Previously, had bought and returned three (3) T.R.U. Ball releases due to various mechanicle defects.

Hopefully tomorrow, I' ll be able to test the new Mongoose....

Kindest Regards,

i had this problem to. I just solved it by not wearing any gloves and getting a muff or putting a hand warmer in my coat pocket. This way when a shot comes i can find my ancher and feel my trigger better. It bugged me to have my strap over lap. I dont know if they make a bigger strap or not though.

Put it on first and then pull your gloves on. If you want to extend it, just pick up some heavy duty velcro at the hardware store or a JoAnns or something. You may also want to gather up a piece of non stretching strap to attach the velcro to. Take it to a shoe repair store. They could fix you up while you wait.

I agree with David. Your not putting it over your coat are you????

It should always be up against your skin - put coat over it.
