Here in Washington State you can only harvest one deer per year. Also you must choose one weapon type and hunt with it. The liberals are in charge here.

In MO this year it is pretty complicated
firearm/muzzleloader--one buck some units have one or un limited bonuses for does.
bow-- you can kill one buck in each half of the season, meaning only one buck before firearms season and one after, but new this year about half of our unit you can buy as many doe only permits as you want.
Also we have special hunts that you can apply for a drawing to hunt some areas that allows no hunting.

In some areas of Minnesota you can kill 5 deer. But nowhere in the state can you kill more than one buck in a calendar year. Bummer!!!
Good Luck!

What several others have said about Maryland is true. Thanks to our very liberal friends, they kept us from keeping the herds in check for years. The development of housing, shopping centers, and the like just drives the burgeoning herds into smaller areas.
What they didn' t tell you is that farmers, including tree farms, are allowed ' crop damage' permits once crops are in the fields. The farmers where I hunt demand that deer be eliminated. I took #7 yesterday, Davidmil took one just a hundred yards away, and my son held back on a shot he thought might be too long.
Just let the liberals have their way, they' ll soon be begging you to cull the herd. After all, they like their shrubbery and just can' t deal with hitting a deer with their car.

WI is messed up.
Basically, if you are sane, and hunt in one of our lovely t-zome management units, you get a minimum of tags to start with, assuming you buy both a gun and bow license. The antlerless tags can be used in either bow or gun season, but the antlered tags are season specific.
All of this because our DNR thinks that there are way too many deer in Wisconsin!
...but that' s a whole different discussion!
Oh, by the way, the brain trust at the WIDNR also decided to schedule a special antlerless-only hunt...with guns!...during the week of...you guessed it!!...PEAK RUT!! You can use your antlerless tags then, or get more as " needed" .
And then that same group of bureaucratic blockheads wonders why bow license sales are off!
