You mention hoping to get 300fps. Don't get hooked up speed. Find an arrow and setup that gives you speed and Kenetic energy.

I agree with KK on the speed thing, KE is very important. 55lbs. is my draw weight and my arrows are 300 PSE X Weave with Grim Reaper Broadheads. This range of draw weight and combination has worked flawless for me in taking down Deer out to 30 yards. Good Hunting and as has been said ,practice,practice ,practice.
