The USFWS now wants to reintroduce wolves in CO. Make sure to fight this by sending in your comments.

You guys in colorado really need to put up a fight. Moving out here to Montana 20 years ago, I did not have the anti wolf mentality when they reintroduced them into Yellowstone. Boy do I have it now. There are areas that in the past I would always find elk and now I don't even bother going into them anymore. Maybe if I want to hike and not be bothered by seeing any deer or elk. Thankfully the wolf hunting quota in Montana was over 200 this year and season still open.

I sure wish people woud read stuff before they make posts like that! There is a 13 page mutifaceted plan for the Baca and a couple other areas out there and wolf is only mentioned in ONE friggin sentence. The plans are in the comment period until 2/25 and nothing is to be decided until 2014 at the earliest. BGF came out with an email this week with scare tactics stating the Feds were going to introduce wolves there this year, which is pure BS! Even if they were making that decision it takes reams of paperwork and a lot more time for environmental impact statements, etc. berfore it could ever be attempted. Stay vigilant and voice your opinions in a civil manner, but don't listen to some of the BS that comes out!

B...S...---I just read the article on bowsite and it's about the same as everything else coming out after people saw "wolf" in Plan C. I don't blame people for not trusting the Feds with anything they get their hands on because I don't either! What is wrong is at the bottom of that writeup is the conjecture that if Plan C would be the one they decide on that wolves would immediately be introduced into the areas. That is pure BS because before they can do anything like that they have to follow Federal procedures and have a full plan, including an environmental impact study and statement that is then placed out for public review and comment before anything could be finalized and wolves introduced. I still contend that if people would just take the time to study how things really work and get involved during the comment periods, etc. it would really help much more than posting stuff out on the net and getting everyone ticked off and trying to put out a fire that isn't even smoking yet!
