How????
i live in southeastern wisconsin and i need some land to hunt on down here. i have to hunt down here because i am in football and am not going to be able to go up to eagle river as much where i normally hunt. my question to you is this. how do i gain permission to hunt on private land???? any tips??? thanks for all the help.

normally it starts long before the season opens.you go to the land owner and have a nice talk , tell him you problem and ask if there is anything you can do for him in exchange for the priviladge of hunting.
offer to patch fence or cut fire wood,anything he needs done. as I said long before the season opens,if not for this year then maybe next year. Go well dressed and above all be very polite.don' t go at meal time or when they are resting for the evening. good luck,good hunting. |

Couple things whiskers. Always remember, you won' t get permission if you don' t ask. Theres lots of public land in WI., even in the S.E.. Try asking in the Midwest section here at huntingnet. Perhaps even offer a swap. A trip up to an Eagle River area for a stand down south. Try visiting the Wisconsin conference at other message boards too. ;) Where in S.E. WI. are you and how far do you want to drive?
