Helical or offset vanes???

I dont intend to get a major debate started I' m just curious if most people would prefer full helical or offset vanes.
I just switched to a Muzzy Zero Effect arrow rest and I love it I fletched 2 arrows straight, 2 offset and 2 helical to see if I could notice a difference and I cannot. I have shot broadheads and field tips out to 40 yards.
Now its time to make some arrows for the upcoming season and I' m not sure which way to go.
I shoot a MQ1, 64# with muzzy 100gr/ 3 blade.
What would you use and why???

Thanks

Funny you posted this, Im in the same boat. Tonight I was going to fletch mine as always (helical). Ive found the same results as you except I didnt fletch any straight. My offset and helical group identical, so I decided to stick with what I have always done.:D

WOW same boat here too I recently asked the same question!! What I have found is that the helicals will fly slightly more consistently!!

Actually fly about 3" higher than my others! Its a really hard decison.

The one question i want to answer b4 i decide is to determine both arro' s velocity at the bow and then at 25 yds! Doing this tomoorrw and i will post the results!!

My 2 cents is that I shoot Left Helical feathers, and the new Montec G5 Broadheads with the Trophy Ridge Drop Zone Rest... Shoots like a million Bucks... My experience is that Helical Vanes/Feathers work will with Fixed point braodheads, just to provide more stability...

RE: Helical or offset vanes???

On my compound bow, I shoot vanes pretty much exclusively. I fletch my own arrows, and I use an offset. If it were a little easier, I would put a helical on it though. But, trying to get the vane to stay in place with a helical is not an easy task.

For my stick bow, I use feathers, and use only helical.
