Yep, like my brother jethrowpew said, we make an annual trip to Elkins every year, and grew up in Wyoming county. I live in VA now, but just something about those WVA mountiains that makes bow season " feel" like bowseason!

Born and raised in Preston County. I' m livin' in MD now, but still hunt WV.

Below is a cam tracker picture from 2001 of a huge 18 point 4 droptine non-typical that was taken in one of the (4) bow hunting only counties in WV. It' s unreal how big a mountain buck can get when allowed to mature. This is the main reason I hope they always keep the lower 4 counties bow hunting only.

i saw the show on the outdoor channel.he must not hunt in wv much.i am new to bowhunting.i started last year and i took 2 deer a doe and a spike buck.i know that isnt very exciting but it was a thrill to me.it really made me not into the gun season very much lol.thanks for replying to my post guys.

I live and hunt in WV too. I grew up in Wyoming county and live in Braxton county now. 95% of my hunting is still done in Wyoming county.

If bow season lasted 2 or 3 more weeks I would be divorced for sure.........
by early November I always hear " you spend too much time traveling to Wyoming county to hunt" ..........

then i remind her that bow season only last until the last day of December........[>:]

I' m just glad I did not move farther away because I really like being married the other 9 months of the year. :D

live in Delaware, have relatives in Boone & Ritchie counties. Will be huntin in Ritchie county the week of 10/20, will be the first time huntin outside of DE. Cousin took me around some of the areas we' ll be hunting. Major difference from what i' m use to hunting.
