I was wondering if this particular line of scent products has given you guys any luck. And I' m curious at what point in the season do I start to make mock scrapes? I' d like to give that a try this year.

Goalieman,
If you go to their web site, there are detailed instructions for how to use the products. I am curious myself, as their products don' t smell anything like what I think they should. Then again, I' m not a deer!

There are a lot of guys on this site and over on the bowsite that will give this stuff a bad rap because of their past association with the Rompola fiasco. That' s just fine with me, I hope this stuff doesn' t get popular in my neck of the woods, because I ain' t never seen nothing like it. I' ll be ordering it as long as they keep making it, I could care less about the rompola fiasco.

Trying them for the first time this year . I' ll let you know in a couple weeks , 5 days and counting till open season here . The vanishing hunter stuff does work better than any other scent blocker stuff I' ve tryed .

Hey goalie, you must be knew to these message boards, just go here or to the bowsite, www.bowsite.com, or to yahoo even, and type in " rompola buck" in the search. Basically, it' s about a guy that claimed to have arrowed the new world record typical back in 2000 if I remember right. 3 years ago and folks are still arguing about it. Like I said in my above post, I could care less, but there was some connection with the owner of hawgs limited and this rompola guy.

I myself am using it for the first time this year. I have always heard good thing about it, therefore I always recommend it to people. I just put 5 mock scrapes alittle over a week ago, and I will be going back this week to freshen them and to set out my trailcam to see what I got going on!

I remember that whole thing now. People thought he found it dead or something and then associated Hawgs Limited with a " cheater" so they got a bad rap for a while.

Don' t rely on gimmicks like these bogus scents. These methods are like buying into get rich quick schemes. There is no substitute for educating yourself about the deer behavior and deer habitat in your specific area. There is no substitute for scouting wisely yet relentlessly. There is no substitute for proper stand placement with clear shooting lanes set for the well thought out and anticipated approach of previously scouted deer. There is no substitute for well tuned hunting equipment. There is no substitute for proper shot placement and shot follow up. However if you want to waste your money on these magical methods then more power to ya.

You just keep right on preachin' there Mr. Wolfen. Yeah that' s right this stuff don' t work, don' t buy it, especially any Louisiana hunters that hunt near me
! You can believe one thing, I ain' t telling nobody in my area about it, except maybe some of my closest hunting buddies, and I probably ain' t gonna tell them.
