3-D
How are 3D targets scored?
|
RE: 3-D
It depends on the shoot. Local shoots will usually follow one or the other. Some don' t even use the 11 or 12 ring and just use X. In a tie with he most X count wins.
IBO- 11 – Small circle centered within the ten ring. Approximately 25% of the ten ring will be used. Arrow must at least touch the circle. This score would reflect 11 on the scorecard. 10 – Circle inside vital area. Arrow must at least touch circle. 8 – Vital area other than the 10 point circle. Arrow must at least touch the vital area line. 5 – Remainder of the animal touching body color. 0 - A hit in the horn or hoof not touching body color, any other miss, or glance off. ASA - is basicly the same but use 12 points for the small ring in the 10. It' s set close to the edge on and ASA target and the center of an IBO target see www.asaarchery.com and www.ibo.net ![]() |

RE: 3-D
I' ve been to some traditional tournaments that score anything inside the 8-ring as a 5 and any other hit a 2. At an unsanctioned shoot, scoring is at the whim of the host club.

RE: 3-D
When did IBO go to the 11 scoring ring. Last I shot IBO it was twelve???? Been a while tho....Does the 14 ring still exist?
I guess I should stop by the IBO Forum...[:-] |
