Had A Duh! Moment Tonight
 

The rain stoped,got off work early headed to hunt a ridge I know has rut activity at this time. Got to my tree,started to hook up my climber base. I look up a Doe is standing 12 yards from me,panting from running. Duh! It's obvious she's being chased stupid! What do I do,start fooling with my climber and guess what runs by at 25 yards? Let me see now,a Buck? Duh,not one Buck but 3 total. By the time I started thinking clearly it was all over. 1 Doe,3 Bucks and a Duh! Dude with no deer to take home. I can only laugh at myself for droping the ball and not putting 2X2 together. I got up the tree after standing for a few minutes thinking number 4 would come by. I had hopes they would chase her back by the tree,but after 1 1/2 hours realized I blew my chance.

Wow, not to be rude, but that was dumb. First thing I would have done was say to heck with that stand and nock an arrow. Oh well. Live and learn.
