Trophy Ridge drop zone
Anyone have this rest. I bought one the other day and my dealer had it shooting perfect bullit holes in the paper in minutes. I go out and start practicing and all of a sudden my flectching are be torn by contact with the launcher arm. As I keep shooting I also notice the launcher arm is still slowly going down after my arrow is in the target 30 yards away. I kept playing with it and after about 200 shots all my fletchings are ripped to shreds and the launcher arm broke off. I emailed trophy ridge tonight so maybe they will reply tommorro and am going back to the dealer I bought it in the morning. There sights are great I can' t believe they would put out a rest that is this big a piece of crap. Hopefully I will get it resolved

RE: Trophy Ridge drop zone
gch,
I' ve heard of a couple of instances where the launcher spring in the rest gave trouble. Read mostly rave reviews on the rest on other forums. Yours is the first really bad report I' ve seen. Don' t blame you for being upset. You should ask the company to replace your fletchings also. Try a Trophy Taker. Although, I read a bad report on it too the other day. Most reports on the Trophy Taker are thumbs up. My three favorite rests are the Infiniti, Pro-500, and Pro Tuner with 3-D/hunter launcher. Check em out if you haven' t already. Good luck. Sag. |

RE: Trophy Ridge drop zone
Trophy ridge does have good service . I contacted them regarding a 3pin flatliner sight that kept moveing on me and they replaced both mounting brackets for free , and it does not move now .

RE: Trophy Ridge drop zone
Sounds like one of the two, long vertical allen head screws are bent. The spring that drops the arm rides up and down on this long screw.
If your adjustment on the rest is not set up properly(launcher arm all the way up,and cable still not at full draw) this could be your problem. If this so, your draw weight,60#-65#-70# ? is trying to raise a launcher arm that is all ready up. I bought one when they first came out , and love it. Ask for a man named George in tec support. Send it back to him, and they will fix or replace it. I personaly have had a good experiance with this company ,and this rest. Hope this helps.[:-] |
RE: Trophy Ridge drop zone
TR will replace your rest. I have heard a lot of good things about their support to their customers.

RE: Trophy Ridge drop zone
I have been using this rest for 3 weeks now.
For my setup - it is working much better than the trophy taker and the Nap dropaway. I have had no problems, no fletching contact and no worries - yet:D |
RE: Trophy Ridge drop zone
Fletching clearance problems with the Drop Zone is a thing of the past.
I' m shooting 4' ' and 5" extreme helical plastic vanes, with no contact at all. This sure helps to put my Muzzy 125' s where I want them.[:-] |
RE: Trophy Ridge drop zone
Had a Drop-Zone on my LX,but I felt it was a bit too noisy,so I went back to the MZE,better groups, noise problem solved.
