Thermal Cell
 

I just bought one of these anti-skeeter products. I have been told that they do not put off any oder or noise. I fired it up and after while I noticed smoke and some oder. Do any of you use a thermal cell if so have you noticed any of the same problems?

I bought one about 6 months ago. I used it three times - it definitely works. I can' t smell anything, but I have a hard time believing that a repellant (it is chemical-based) does not create ANY odor whatsoever. It has no effect in windy conditions.

I have used it on 2 bear hunts and even though it does have faint sound and a faint chemical smell it has not been detected by any of the bears that have come into my baits. One pad will last about 4 hours and it definitely repels flying insects. I will always have it in my pack.

Works great. Yes it smokes a little but I have killed several deer and hogs while using it. Won' t go in the woods here in Fl. without it.

Used mine all season last year . It does have a very slight smell , but it does not spook the deer .
