Adjust poundage, Retune?
When you adjust your poundage, say one turn on both bolts do you have to retune your bow. I figure it is different for every bow but just wondering.

RE: Adjust poundage, Retune?
You may have to retune the bow. Maybe not. Only way to know is to shoot it through paper or shoot a bare shaft and see what results you get. Most bows get 3-4lbs per turn on the limb bolts. Depending on how critical your setup is to start with this poundage could throw things off pretty good.

RE: Adjust poundage, Retune?
It depends how close to the EDGE you are in spine, foc, broadhead weight etc.
I know on my setup If I back the limbs off 1 turn everything goes haywire. It shoots fantastic where im at but ive fine tuned it near the edge. All you can do is try it and see. Check your paper tune right before and right after adjusting and see where your at. |
RE: Adjust poundage, Retune?
You may not need to retune, but you will probably have to adjust your sights
