Okay, lets see if we can get this out of the way in one post. I' ll play both the pro and con sides, as well as do some of the commentary:

" Crossbows are just like high let-off compounds, which are destroying bowhunting!"

I hunted with a xbow one season, I had cut the tips of two of my fingers off and had to in order to bowhunt. Let me say it was not as challenging as a compound but then again a compound is not as challenging as a recurve, which is not as challenging as a longbow, which is not as challenging as a rock, which is....

you still have to get the deer within 40 yds but you don' t go thru the motions of drawing your bow back. Some people are unable to draw a bow as I was the year I hunted with a xbow. I have no problem with them using a xbow.

I have bowhunted for 12 years, this year came down with an illness. Was getting bummed because I knew I couldn' t pull back the bow. Was able to get a disability permit to use a crossbow for bowhunting. Bought a crossbow. Can' t wait until I get into the woods. Looking forward to another great fall. For all you crossbow bashers, some of us have no other choice. Wish you would realize that.
