My 8 Pointer From Last Season
Well some of you may remember my agonizing story from last season about the big 8 pointer that I hit. After 3 or 4 days of looking we came up with nothing. Well come march or april I heard that another guy found a big deer by his pond that was a 10 pointer. His property isn' t but 1/2 mile from where I hunt. So I didn' t think to much of it and pretty much wrote it off cuz mine was an 8. Well about 2 weeks ago I ran into the guy that found it on his property and was just asking him about the deer that he found. He said it was a big 8, and boy was I surprised. Well last night my buddy & I went and looked at it. To say the least, this has to be my deer. My buddy and me scored it up and took some pictures. He was a monster! Well the guy that found it is a distant relative and is a nice guy. He wouldn' t let me take it home.....not that I expected him to, but you never know. So I asked him if I could be in his will to one day get him and he said sure why not. Now that I made a long story short...here is some pictures.

Well Nub...all that I can say to that is......I got to do whatever it takes.
Like I said, he is family so he knows I was screwing with him.....kind of. I really would like it, and if I have to wait 20 years....so be it. His wife don' t like those kind of things around the house, so I should be ok.

Thunder, the shot was just a bit back. I thought I still had both lungs, but evidently is was too far back. Right height, just to far back.

Nice buck Il bow man!!
I lost this management buck on the last day of the season. Shot him about 30 min. before dark and then it started to rain. Buddy found him the next weekend about 30 yards from his downed buck. Felt good to at least get the rack.
Notice he is missing his right G-3 and his G-1 was broke.
