Thats the story behind him TFOX! I just read the story and had to post the pic.
' Goliath' a white-tail deer buck, stands in the field of Rod and Dianne Miller in Knox, Pa.. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003. The giant buck with some 50 to 60 points on its antlers and worth upward of $1 million is believed back with its rightful owners after it was stolen nearly four years ago. But the owners of the deer farm aren' t conceding that their deer is that deer.

I went to college at good ole Clarion University of PA, 10 minutes from Knox, PA where Goliath was held, and have many close friends in Knox. I hunt some private land about 1/2 mile away from where he was kept until he was stolen. I also know the local game commissioner for the area. Everybody in the area was pretty upset at the whole ordeal.
I guess somebody cut a hole in the fence and backed a truck up to it and took the deer.
Goliath was a huge moneymaker for the owner. I couldn' t imagine his grief when he found his gold mine was gone.

I grew up about 15 minutes form Knox....in a small town -- Lucinda!
PAHUNTER, How long ago did you go to school at CUP? There is a new warden around down there in just the past couple years. Bimber is his name.....he' s the biggest @$$ I' ve ever met. He goes by the book....to the T. Nothing slips, nothing goes unpunished. That' s not what makes him an @$$....personally, I' ve heard his stories....he is on a mission to cite people....for any reason -- straight out of his own mouth those words came!
Pictures of that buck were all over the newpapers in the area for some time. There were reward posters all around too. Glad to see they got it back
