I had an.....interesting evening looking for deer the other evening. I was just about done with a round when I passed a car and then a truck. The truck had stopped on up the road so I slowed down figuring there was a deer in the field or something. I saw a white vehicle pulled down into the edge of a corn field with their park lights on. I was slowed down and half expecting to see deer so I almost stopped to ask if everything was OK but then I thought, well that other guy had been stopped and that other car had passed as well, so I didnt stop.

I looked in my rearview mirror and saw them come whipping out fairly fast and falling right in behind me. They got their brights on now! I turn onto the major road to go back and go around again and they didnt even stop and whipped right behind me and followed me back onto the back road.

They would ride my bumper then fall back, and go from BRIGHTS to dims to parks to fog lights and all, ride my bumper and fall back. I tried to pull over and let them pass but they would just fall back again till I sped up again then it was same ol same ol.

When I got back to the major road and was gonna turn, I waited till a car was close and I pulled out. I figured if I got a car or 2 between us, maybe they would leave me alone. NOPE, they whipped right out and cut them,3 vehicles, off and followed me back onto the back road.

They did the same thing again until....I was doin 35 and they were riding my bumper with their brights on and then, right before a turn in the road that is like literally a 90 degree curve, the jackass passed me and pushed me toward the ditch. They got around me about 15yds. before the curve. I slammed into my horn and I still had my brights on cause, no one was in front of me before that and nothing was coming and I wasnt really thinking about that so my brights were still on as they passed and hit the curve.

They musta floored it cause they musta been doin about 70/80 cause they bout wrecked over a hill that has a curve just on the other side. They didnt stop goin onto this other road from the back road and then they pulled into a driveway just about 80yds away from where they were stopped to begin with. After I passed I looked in my rearview mirror and they pulled back into the road and blocking the whole road and watched me go over this bridge, when I looked back again, they were gone.

I looked at their license plate as I passed them when they were in the driveway and their tags were specialized plates which started with KW and didnt have any numbers on it but I cant remember the whole plate(wish I could) but I remember KW and that there were no numbers.

Im not really sure the make of the vehicle. I think it was an Outback cause it looked like a taller version of a Subaru. It was white. I called my buddy and he has never seen a vehicle like that out there and he has been out there longer than I have. I dont know who it was. My buddy thought it might have been some jackass anti-hunter who singled me out cause I not only have hunting stickers on my truck, but I was out in an area known for alot of hunting. Mostly all the other vehicles you see are other hunters out doin the same thing, looking for deer.

I almost want to see them again just to get the license plate[:@]

Id start carrying some sort of club if your not already. Never know what could happen when your bye yourself.

Could be any number of things. They may have thought you were jacklighting or something. If they were jacklighting they would have made a hasty exit. They may hunt the place or try to discourage anyone else from thinking about it. Then again, they may have just been jacka$$es messing with your mind. They may have been looking for a rumble. Lots of kooks out there. I think dope growers would seek solitude to and not want to draw attention to themselves.

It was probably someone parking to have sex. The guy probably had one to many cars interupt and took it out on you, because his girlfriend told him to forget it. Or they could have been doing drugs.

Prob. some type of drug deal....I ALWAYS carry a 2 foot piece of steel pipe with an elbow on the end of it under my seat.....never had to use it (knock on wood!), but something like that is deffinately not a bad thing to have! ;)

I think the piece of " pipe" in the car is a good idea.
Personally,I think it would be even better if that pipe could push an ounce & 1/4 of #4' s at about 1100 fps.[:-]

i think it might have been dope growers , your lucky they didn' t try to kill you,they probably just wanted to scare the hell outta of you ,you should definately consider carrying some kind of weapon to protect your self. if these people were hanging near the property that you hunt on you should contact the landowner so he can be aware of the problem and he can contact the authorities .

I like the pipe idea! One that could throw at least 158 gr. piece of lead at high velocity:D
